Our newest project is about to take off! We are establishing Shining Futures, a center that will help those 13 and up with social and vocational training and job placement. The center will provide a safe place to spend time in a relaxed, supervised environment.

We will focus on individuals with autism and other related conditions. Our goal is to enable them to live independently and become contributing members of society.

Statistics have shown that approximately one in every 166 schoolchildren now fall somewhere on the autism spectrum with the great majority being extremely intelligent but unable to function socially. Our program addresses these issues and our goal is to help as many of these kids as we can succeed as adults.

Although many programs exist to assist special needs children, most do not address the needs of older teens and young adults which can lead them into drug use or ending up in jail. The service we will provide is gravely needed and will serve a critical need in our community.
